Working on this 16th-century building was certainly a challenge! The project involved the formation of the new single-storey extension across the whole of the rear to change the dwellings from ‘bedsits’ to one-bedroom houses, complete with new kitchens and bathrooms. As part of the works the existing structure was sympathetically overhauled and repaired, including the application of a new injected damp proof course, and the replacement of all the existing defective timber windows with new to match.
